One artist that I have always loved is M. C. Escher. The reason that I like him is because his work is so interesting to look at it. It is full of optical illusions and physical impossibilities. I wouldn’t say that he has a strong influence on my art, but I still love his work. He was one of the first artists that I knew, probably because I liked looking at his art at a young age. All the other art I saw when I was young I found to be boring, but not Escher’s. I love how technical his work is; it is so precise. And the simplicity of the black and white make his work all the better. So I would say Escher is one of my favorite artists.
